The Filipino Chaplaincy of Chatswood Parish prayed the Rosary and offered their October Mass for the victims of calamities in the Philippines, Samoa and Sumatra.  During Mass, scenes of the devastation were shown in a video presentation followed by Fr KC Ureta’s appeal for help for the flood victims of typhoon “Ondoy” in the Philippines.  The community responded generously and raised $2,512, which will be sent to Caritas Manila.  Donations of much needed necessities such as food and clothing are still needed and the FCCP will advise drop-off points soon. In the meantime, other arrangements are in place through other groups.  Click here for details.
