In commemoration of the month of the Holy Rosary, the FCCP encourages our parishioners to join in praying the rosary as a community through the Living Rosary. In praying the Living Rosary, a person comes to represent each bead of the Rosary, takes a rose, lights a candle and stands in the designated place in the church after each prayer. At the end, all the participants in the Living Rosary will be standing to form a circle around the pews of the Church, enclosing the parish community and symbolising our unity.
The aim of the Living Rosary is to ask God, through the intercession of Our Lady of the Rosary, the conservation of the Faith in Catholic countries, the conversion of sinners, the strengthening of the just, and the exaltation of the Holy Church.
The people who join this pious exercise divide among themselves the recitation of the prayers of the entire Holy Rosary and pray the rosary with the parish community. The aim is to encourage people to form a group of 15, praying a decade of one of the 15 mysteries every day for life, so that each day a rosary is being prayed around the world.
Our prayers will be to ask God through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary to strengthen our faith in these difficult times and to grant special intentions for our brothers and sisters affected by natural disasters in Samoa, the Philippines and Indonesia. People across these regions are in desperate need of all aspects in life, especially our much needed spiritual support.
Those who wish to volunteer to represent a bead in the Rosary may contact the FCCP coordinators on 0410 572 419 or 0438 501 458 or 0412 662 268.
